If you are a student who is currently residing in the Gaza Strip, we have implemented special measures to accommodate your situation and to ensure a safe and easy application process. We are looking for motivated and passionate young individuals who are eager to contribute to a diverse and dynamic learning environment.
To apply through our UWC national committee, you must meet the following criteria:
1. Age requirement
Applicants must be between 16 and 18 years old as of September 1, 2026 (born between September 1, 2008, and September 1, 2010) . This typically aligns with students entering the final two years of secondary education, but specific age requirements may vary by UWC school or college.
2. Educational background
Applicants must have a minimum 90% grade average or equivalent from the previous year (9th or 10th grade). Those with lower grades may apply with an attached letter explaining the reasons for not meeting this requirement, their motivation for attending UWC, and their plan for achieving academic success at UWC.
Applicants from public, private, and UNRWA schools in the West Bank, including Occupied Jerusalem and Gaza, are eligible to apply.
3. Residency and nationality
Candidates applying through UWC Palestine must:
- Applicants must hold Palestinian nationality (including dual nationals, as long as one nationality is Palestinian).
- Applicants must be residents of Palestine (West Bank, Occupied Jerusalem, or Gaza) or hold a Palestinian passport or a travel document if living abroad.

4. Personal qualities and values
While academic excellence is important, UWC seeks students who exhibit:

- Applicants must demonstrate active participation in extracurricular activities and community service.
The resilience and adaptability needed for an international and rigorous residential educational experience.
5. Language requirements
UWC schools and colleges primarily use English as the language of instruction. While fluency is not required at the time of application, applicants are advised to attain a basic proficiency in English and demonstrate a willingness to improve their language skills.
